Home Assistant Core 2025.11.0
Just did a new backup and when I try to download it to my PC I get this now:
Can someone explain what is going on here?
Thanks!
P.S. This even happens with backups in HA from 2 weeks ago if I try to download them now.

For anyone else running into this (!and panicking!), here is a thread on Github stating a fix is in the works for the next release (after 2025.11.1) and some work arounds:
opened 06:36AM - 06 Nov 25 UTC
integration: backup
### The problem
1. When I want to download a backup, it shows me a message that… the encryption key is different than the one saved. I didn't change anything. It applies to both - old and new backups. It has never appeared before - I download a backup with every update.
2. When I disable the encryption of backups on the sd card, I can't download the backup at all - nothing happens after clicking "download". I don't know if the problem appeared with this update or if it was already there.
3. The text showing the estimated size of the backup is very wrong - it estimates over 900 mb but it is about 150 mb.
4. A single backup cannot be deleted. You can use the option to select many (then select one or more) and delete - this option it works.
