Trying to migrate from smartthing hub to Aeotec Z-Stick 7 Plus

I just got a Aeotec Z-Stick 7 Plus, I plugged it into my raspberry pi and home assistant found it and it was running in a few minutes. I am trying to move everything from my smarttthings hub to zwave js. I am testing with a smartthing motion/temp sensor, I unpaired it from the smarttthing hub. I put it in paring mode and have the Aeotec Z-Stick 7 Plus search for it, it never finds anything. I have the sensor just next to the z-stick. I don’t want to unpair anything else until I know it works. Does anyone have experience with this?

An ACTUAL smartthings branded sensor?

Thats a Zigbee device. SmartThings never made ZWave devices.

Nathan, thank you, I just read that. I thought since they could control my zwave switches that everything was zwave. I guess they have dual antennas in the hub. I just ordered a zigbee dongle to go with my raspberry pi. This should cover all of my devices.
