Tts.google_say to group

Hi,

I have a group in my house called group.house which has a Sonos and a Google Home in.

I want to use the TTS to these but have them play at the same time. At the minute it does one at a time.

Is it possible to play these at the same time? I plan on adding more devices and would like messages sent to all at the same time instead of one after another.

I don’t have Sonos, but can you group them together in the Google Home app? If so, then you should be able to use THAT group as opposed to the one you created in HA. AFAIK, the Home app can only group Homes and Chromecast Audios together as an audio group but since I don’t own any Sonos product I’m not sure if this includes Sonos.

Sonos - sonos_join - syntax

Here is a script I use to join two of my sonos speakers together and then plays a mp3. Modify as needed First I turn off the script in case it is already running. Then I snapshot the speakers (in case they are playing anything already), then I unjoin those speakers in case they are joined with others (I have 4 speakers total). We set the volume and then play. Notice when we get to the play portion I only call 1 speaker. This is the master speaker identified in the join command. Hope it helps. …
