I’m currently running jellyfin as an app in truenas scale which is running as a vm on proxmox HAOS is also running on the same server as a vm.
i have automations that turn on and off my media environment (HTPC and amp).
I have installed jellyfinn integration in HAOS
In an effort to further automate my media environment.
I would like to trigger events (lights, shades HVAC and media environment) when jellyfin starts playing something.
Example:
as morning alarm, (time) trigger WOL HTPC starts
Jellyfin start (based on time or Geofencing settings) turns on AMP sets lights and shades and starts jellyfin, Jellyfin selects what to play (automatically) .
WOL and jellyfin could start and stop based on geofencing automations which would also trigger the start or stop media automations.
How could i design and build this such automation?
I would still liker to use jellyfin as my media server until HA Music assistant server is further developed.
this automation should be able to replace jellyfin with music assistant server (looks promising)
