Turning Xiaomi Camera off when devices return home

First post on Home Assistant. So please go easy!

I’ve recently moved over from OpenHAB. And Home Assistant is 1000x simpler to manage and configure. I love it!

So… Is it possible to turn off the Xiaomi camera via an http request or something similar? I have the hacked firmware installed and have been able to bring Xiaomi Ants Camera feed into HA via ffmpeg and rstp. But I’d like to replicate a similar behaviour to some other consumer cameras, that turn off when someone is at home.

In the Mi Home app there is a button that you can press (‘Back Home’) which turns the camera off and cuts the feed.

mmm, I just thinking, to add a sonoff or smart-swicth and control the on/off from the switch

That’s a good idea. Bit of a hack fix, but don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
