This is pain in the ass, I’m now searching alternatives to Tuya to monitor my power usage. I’m seeing people online using ESP8266 or Wemos D1 devices with clamps. I believe this will be much more reliable and less prone to firmware problems.

Everything is working fine in local tuya 2024.12.1 / v5.2.2 (HACS)
There are newer versions, but didn’t update just in case it breaks again…
I see in the Smarrt Life app, that there is another firmware update ( for the MCU to improve low power measurement accuracy) - however I am loathe to actually update, in case it breaks the integration again. Has anyone tried this yet? What were the results?
