Tuya and Smart Life components

Hello,
I would like to use sokets that are compatible with the Smart Life app.
I read that to use them in Home Assistant I have to register them with the Tuya app and I can manage them with tuya in HA.

But I see that in configuration I must then write the data of my tuya account.
It means that then HA manage the devices by asking the server tuya to command them.

If I understood correctly then in case of loss of the internet connection at home the components would no longer be controlled by HA.

I ask if anyone has used this plug in if things are really like that? or if I misunderstood.

thank you
Filo
