If you have any additional information, you could add it to the open issues on GitHub. Otherwise, just add a thumbs up to the initial reports. There doesn’t yet appear to be a response from the Tuya side on this, which is where most of us suspect the problem lies.
I have done what you suggested on both suggestions.
Let’s home that something happens soon.
As the Tuya V2 HACS version prior to the formal HA integration worked well (for me anyway) I think the solution would be already available on the old code?
Apparently the issue seems to lay with the Tuya Cloud and the IoT Tuya platform renewal.
This is concerning as there are to many layers between the user and the provider.
There is not much point to Home Automation if it does not work and cannot be relied upon.
I am now running 2021.12.3 and the Tuya binary window /door sensor still does not update in HA. If I use the Tuya app on my phone I can see it updating in the cloud but HA does not know about it.
I wish this would be fixed? Who own this?
Update @ 2021.12.5
no change. The only way I can get Tuya window/door binary sensor to update is to restart HA.
This is most annoying.
It used to work great when it was in HACS Tuya V2 so it is possible.
What’s changed? @Fencek
I loaded 2021.12.6 yesterday and Tuya seems to be working as it used to with switches and doors/windows working as they used to. I gave it a day before I made this post.
1 hour on I noticed 2021.12.7 became available for me so loaded that.
I will give that a day to see how it performs but so far so good.
