Tuya - Climate Plug Temperature is Null

Has anybody seen and been able to fix this issue?

I have HA working with my SmartLife devices using the Tuya integration. It works well for regular socket switches but is having an issue with a climate controlled switch. HA is seeing the current temperature as NULL.

Developer tools is reporting this:

‘’’
|Filter entities|Filter states|Filter attributes|
|climate.xxx|
auto|hvac_modes: off, auto
min_temp: 7
max_temp: 35
target_temp_step: 1
current_temperature: null
friendly_name: Cabin
supported_features: 0
‘’’

The device is branded as an aixi-SHS Wireless Wi-Fi Thermostat Plug Electric Heating Smart Socket

it appears on my network as an ESP_#### type switch
HA Tuya API is correctly recognising it as a climate control

Thanks for any help

Andy

I’m having the exact same issue.
In the hope somebody knows how to fix it!

Hi to anybody seeing this, just to let you know I have updated to the latest Tuya Integration and followed the instructions to use the IoT platform and register existing SmartLife devices (I live in UK and ended up on the Central EU server) and can confirm its working perfectly … even better I can also see energy use from my smart plugs. The prcoess was all covered on the Tuya - Home Assistant page. Thanks to the developers!
