Yes, I would say they should as both are zigbee
Hahahaha. I just got the sensor and try out. No it cant be found connected with the tuya gateway.
I don’t understand why the hub would not see the sensor.
- Did you put the sensor into pairing mode first (press reset button on sensor for about 5 seconds until the blue light flashes 3 times).
- How close was the sensor to the hub.
- Do you have anything else paired with the hub
Is is entirely possible it does not work. Most propriety zigbee hubs only work with their own brand. There are some exceptions (you can add ikea tradfri to a hue hub, and some ikea tradfri bulbs to a xiaomi gateway), but most of the time they only recognize their own brand. For a universal solution you need a universal coordinator, like conbee or CC253x with zigbee2mqtt.
Hi.
I’ve been using the Xiaomi sensors and hub for a time and so far so good, but I’ve not been able tu pair the sensors with other commercial hubs, like the Tuya ones. Any recommendation for other hubs that work?
I plan to use Conbee and put together a hub, but knowing about a gateway that works out of the box doesn’t hurt.
I have a couple (temp) sensors paired to a HUSBZB-1 usb. (and two xiaomi hubs)
Hello Colleagues,
I would like to continue that topic but with some complication.
I have: HA (on PI) + CC2531.
It is workin well.
I connected to it: Aqara Motion Sensor (https://www.aqara.com/us/motion_sensor.html) and Tuya Switch Zgbee (https://expo.tuya.com/product/580902).
Both connected easily and are working well.
But … I would like to install Aqara far from HA and Tuya should be router between.
And it is not working.
If Aqara is far from HA Link Quality is 0.
When I check Zigbee map in HA it is showing that both (Aqara and Tuya) are connected to CC2531 directly (even if Tuya is between Aqara and HA and Aqara is far from HA).
Do you have idea if it is possible and how to solve it?
Thanks in advance for help.
