Tuya component not working

Hi,

I can’t get my Tuya switch in Home Assistant. I tried both the TuyaSmart and Smartlife apps, but my smart switch isn’t showing up in Hass. There isn’t any error message in home assistant. Calling the tuya.force_update and tuya.pull_devices services doesn’t solve anything unfortunately.
I use the 16A version of the EU plug: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32901221191.html

tuya:
username: [email protected]
password: !secret tuya
country_code: 31

I’m using hassio with hass version 0.99 on a pi4.

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
Thanks!
Sander

I’m assuming you have 2 spaces in front of username/password/country_code?

@walaj Thnks for your reply.
Yes, there are 2 spaces for the options. The Tuya service seems to be configured well because the tuya.pull_devices and tuya.forceupdate services are available… But my device isn’t showing in HA

Hmm - the only thing that I can see that would mean this isn’t working is that the 16A version includes power monitoring - something the existing tuya integration doesn’t support - thus the switch may not be supported…

there are discussions elsewhere on here about tyua power monitoring.

That would be really sad :frowning: I don’t care that the power monitor isn’t working haha. I’ll try a different switch.
Thanks anyway!

Have you found a solution?

I also bought some switches which are not shown in HA.
My old switch is still there but the new ones (https://blakadder.github.io/templates/bilikay_SP10.html) won’t show up.

The new one is also capable of power metering. Would be too bad if this won’t work (switch, not power metering).
