What are this for devices?
These are Smart Bulb sockets which are controlled by SmartLife App on my ios devices. Now that I have installed the Tuya integration in HA, these devices are now in HA. How do I push these to the bridge so I can control them with my HomeKit? (“Siri, turn on the porch light”).
Thanks.
Anyone listening to this thread???
This issue has been solved. I went to the HomeKit Bridge integration and did an “Update” with checkmarks on just the Tuya devices. An hour later, they appeared on my Apple HomeKit.
Hello there ! I recently connected my Tuya lights at home to Homekit , i used the Homebridge Plugin from here , But it works okayish , sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt respond . Should i integrate my lights with the Homekit bridge on HA ?! Does that work good ?
I also saw this bridge for smartlife on threecubes - Will that work ? Really need to switch my mode of integration , Please suggest.
Well, I got rid of my Tuya/SmartLife devices! Tuya integration in HA is very unreliable and slow because the integration still has to interact with Tuya cloud account, not local API. All my devices now are integrated locally with Home Assistant except for my car integration. Stay away from devices that need cloud account for Home Assistant integration.
That is a point - Thank you ! I think i will give it some time , try using it and then probably might change to something better.
Goodluck to your endeavors. Just like MyQ for my garage door opener, when MyQ pulled out their integration in HA, I dumped their MyQ app and found another module that integrates locally with HA. Now, my garage door can be opened using the Home Assistant mobile on my car’s CarPlay. Home Assistant is so powerful.
