Hallo, not sure if this was solved generally - my Tuya doesn’t show statuses at all (for all switches)
tried revocation of all services in Tuya iot platform and all possible tasks described here, still didn’t find any satisfactory solution (except of changing to Local Tuya, what partially works, but has some other issues…)
I stopped struggling with this few years ago, since I integrated all devices with the Local Tuya, but this month I bought a new multimeter for my Aquarium, what can unfortunately be integrated only in (cloud) Tuya integration version, so I re-opened this, tried to search a bit again and found that nothing new happened so far…
at least I still can’t find any successfull souliton for my devices (covers) yet.
The solution I found was to use Xtend Tuya from the HACS store and once loaded, completely removed the official Tuya. The benefit of loading Xtend Tuya first before removing the official Tuya is it carries the naming across, so that automations etc. are easily updated when deleting the official Tuya. Must delete official Tuya to ensure proper updating when device status changes (and ensure you have a Tuya project registered i.e. the old way it used to work).
Thanks for mentioning Xtend Tuya - didn’t know this integration, but tried it and as well the original Tuya the status is always Unknown… Thinking about leaving Tuya at all, since still encountering many connection issues, diconnecting randomly, even deleting from Tuya platform randomly for some device reseted without any reason (not initiated by user etc.) ewelink never did anything like this (I have approx 120 devices, from which only approx 25 are Tuya covers - so still a lot, but in total number it may be less problems I guess)
