Hi,
My Tuya temperature sensor works ok with the Tuya app, but Home Assistant thinks it’s unavailable. I see suggestions that battery powered devices are available only part of the time. What can I do? Availability settings? Use a template? Suggestions welcome.
How long has it been since you added this sensor to HA? I have a couple of battery-powered Tuya temperature / humitdity sensors. While they are not available all the time, they do send data regularly. You should be able to see this in the history view when clicking on the sensor’s entry in HA.
I didn’t do anything specific (that I remember) to make them show up. They just did.
This is with the built-in Tuya integration. Are you using one of the “local Tuya” variants?
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately HA says there is no history. Google Home has the same problem. Other Tuya devices are working well, but the temperature/humidity sensor stays unavailable. On the Tuya app however it works fine. Other Tuya devices also have issues: the switch/power meter only funtions as a swicht. The integrations are not 100%.
Hi, I’m not sure what’s going on, but I noticed since last week, the Tuya integration is unable to log back to the tuya server. I tried several times to re connect, by scanning the QR code etc, with no luck. Now, even when it says connected, I have no data on the entities. Is there anyone else has similar issues?
We have this same problem with all of our Tuya cloud devices. None of them work in Home Assitant any more.
My Tuya devices are working partly: lights and power plugs. But not the power monitor and not the temperature/humidity sensor. Nothing has changed.
Same problem here, any solution?
Not yet. In the Tuya app the valua is updated only after I click on it. There must be an activation command from the app. This command should also be added to HA. But how?
Same problem. Some devices work, others are now unavailable. It was a recent change as I was attempting to add some devices and reconfigure a dashboard. They just… stopped… I’ve re-loaded the app; re-signed in… still only partially working in HA but working fully in-app.
