Tuya Heater not working

Hi all,

I’ve recently bought a Biocalor 400 Wifi heating panel, which uses the Tuya platform. Adding the device to the Tuya or Smartlife apps works without problem. The integration with Google Assistant also works very well and I can turn on and off the device, control the target temperature and everything else from my Google Nest.

I’ve set up the Tuya integration in HA, and it found the device with the same ID as the Tuya app. But the first problem is that the device state does not correctly appear in HA:
biocalor1
I have the same state whatever if the device is ON or OFF.

The second problem is that nearly none of the climate service is working (only hvac_mode and turn_off):

  • The turn_off service turns off the device if it is ON, but turns it ON when it is OFF (acts as a toggle command). Not very easy to control the device with this behavior.
  • The set_hvac_mode service turns the heater on if it off and put it in automatic mode, which is correct. If called when the device is already on, it stays on.

None of the other services work! I’ve tried to look how to control the device using Node-Red as there are a few ways to do it without using the HA Tuya integration, but they are very difficult to set up.
It appears that the HA Tuya integration works very well with lights and switches, but not as well with heaters. It seems to be buggy or incomplete for heaters.

Does someone have an idea on how I can solve this or has experienced the same issue with the same heater model or other kind of heater?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Same here…
Any idea how to fix?
Even the update of the values and states takes some much time.
