Tuya Integration error: code: 2406 | msg: ‘skill id invalid’

I’m not sure why this happened out of nowhere.
Maybe I upgraded my HomeAssistant Jail (via terminal within TrueNAS dashboard).

Retrying setup: {‘code’: 2406, ‘msg’: ‘skill id invalid’, ‘success’: False, ‘t’: 1566557984948, ‘tid’: ‘8b25r6174ae821ed9fbd22eacn9118c9’}

Any idea why and how to resolve>?

Getting pretty much the same error since updating to 2022.10.3.

Retrying setup: {‘code’: 2406, ‘msg’: ‘skill id invalid’, ‘success’: False, ‘t’: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, ‘tid’: ‘xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx’}

Same error here after update :frowning:

Same issue here, LocalTuya also broke :sob:

Same here, but I was able to fix it.

Unfortunately, I’m not quite sure which part of my actions solved it but here’s what I did.

I created a new Tuya cloud project, added my devices like before and then reinstalled the HA integration with the new project. Then, it started working again.

hello, i have the same issue.
for me it helped to go to tuya, log in, then unlink the app, and relink it, scan the barcode with your tuya/smartlife app and thats it.
all tuya devices are back.

i hope i can help someone

Thank you for your comment but can you be a bit more specific how you did this?

Try this helped me : Tuya integration not working · Issue #80252 · home-assistant/core · GitHub

Following 🫠

This worked for me too.

  1. login to tuya iot platform
  2. navigate to “cloud” on the left side menu bar
  3. navigate to “Link tuya app account”
  4. click unlink for your homeassistant app (i only have one account)
  5. click “add app account” and scan the QR with your phone app

The devices automatically reconnected on HA almost instantly.

This worked as well for me. Only additional I would add is after scanning your QR code is go to HA>Settings>Tuya Integration>click 3 dots for menu>Reload

Many thanks.

This worked. If you can’t find “Link tuya app account”, it’s a sub-tab under the Devices tab, not Overview. And in the phone app, there is a [|] sort of symbol (might be sideways) to invoke the camera to scan the code. And as RickyTickyTshirt said, you can then just reload the integration to repair it.

Worked for me as well.

Works, YOU ROCK!!

Awesome! thanks to everyone for the help. This solved it.

Thanks, that was the last piece of the puzzle – the Devices tab in the tuya site (io.tuya.com/cloud).
