I am using SmartLife app and I am trying to integrate it to HA 2024.8.2 and I tried to bind my SmartLife account via Tuya. I entered my user code and got a QR. When I scan it with my phone, I am getting an error that I am using the wrong app. When I scanned the QR with my phone (and not the app), I saw that it trying to open tuya app and not smart life app.
Next, I installed the Tuya app (just for testing the QR) and I had not problems to bind HA to it.
How can I modify which app the generated QR code is pointing me?
I found a even easier and faster workaround, if youâre on PC and Chrome.
No need to change any setting or use Firefox!
Simply right click the QR code, save it as an image and open the dowloaded .png file. Scan the QR code from the file you downloaded, confirm the code inside the Tuya/SmartLife app and then return to HA and click on âSubmitâ. VoilĂ
Solution offered in this topic didnât work - change theme default, cache refresh, change browser, nothing.
The ONLY thing that worked was rebooting hass, and then within 180 seconds scanning the code.
I think the integration should be fixed to load a new QR after 180 seconds.
Same here only solution is:
Restart HA and be quick enough to scan the code with the SmarLife App as soon as HA is up again.
Just reloading the account within the Tuya integration seems to not trigger a new QR code generation.
I have kinda similar situation QR code keeps expiring and I see this " Please select the data center that matches the account in the upper right corner of the page, otherwise you will not be able to authorize. If you donât know the data centre of your account, please check [App account data center distribution]". I am trying to connect Globe Suite smart wifi plugs . I have tried all data centres but no luck. Funny thing I do have Smart life wifi power bar that got connected through same process . Am I doing something wrong?
Brazil: Deu certo!
Ok
I have a Prowarm thermostat and was trying to do this with the Prowarm app.
Didnât work, had to add device to Tuya app and follow the instructions from there.
GUI on both look nearly identical, but usernames/passwords are completely different, needed to re register on Tuya.
Seems to work now.
