Tuya integration, not able to create devices for automations

Hey All,

So im just using the tuya cloud integration (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/tuya/) and I see my tuya smart switches show up as entities but I cannot link entities, which I can turn on and off manually, but I cannot create devices out of them to use in integrations.

I have tried using localtuya as well But I can’t get that to work either.

Any help or suggestions on the easiest way to integrate with tuya smart switches would be appreciate.

I am definitely willing to flash the switches if need be as well.

This.

Check here if your devices are supported and if so, use Tuya-convert. No need to rely on a cloud to automate your devices.

If i do this will i be able to use them as devices and with automations?

I am currently relying on the in app logic to set some lights at sunset.

It looks like my fevice isn’tsupported says. I have the gosund sw2

Often they are identical devices made from different company. Look at the pictures of the devices and see if one is identical to yours. If there is noneone, there’s a good chance the guts inside are the same.

Edit, oops, said none instead one, kinda the opposite of what I was trying to say…

So I just flashed my first device, do you have a link or suggestion on how to add it back to home assistant after the flash?

If you have auto discovery turned on and MQTT enabled, open up the console on your Tasmota device and type:

setoption19 1

This will make your switch appear under MQTT in the Integration tab. That’s how I did it. You can also turn on Belkin Wemo or Hue Bridge emulation from ‘Configuration / Configure Other’ page.

These are gosund sw2 dimmer switches so there may be a bit more config infilled but thank you very much for the suggestions.
