I need help with the tuya integration, I updated to the latest versione of HA and I noticed that the tuya integration was changed, I read about the new process that involves subscribing to the Tuya IoT , I did ti but something is missing and the instrucions on the Tuya integration page seem outdated, since the Tuya iot website is different from the online instructions and some option just won’t install (for instance , I tried to navigate through the new interface and I found the device status notification api , but I can’t seem to be able to subscribe/authorize it, so now I 'm stuck; plus it won’t connect my IoT account to my tuya smart account.
What is the right way to install tuya integration in HA ? I don’t know where to look at now…
Following the new integration document worked for me. Tuya - Home Assistant
What part are you stuck at ? One of the major things is to select the correct datacenter in order to see your devices.
The other thing I found confusing is that in the hassio integration you need to use your tuya app username and password.
Hi, I’ve been finally able to complete the process, after some failed attempts I had to recreate from scratch a new Tuya smart account as my existing one had some issues ( it kept telling me it was used in a different data center which wasn’t)
Anyway now I was able to finish the setup, but I’m having another issue: the older curtains work just fine, the newer ones (WiFi zemismart) show up unsupported therefore I’m getting the devices but not the entities
I have to say it is very frustrating as it broke something that was working… I’ll give it another try and then I’ll start considering local Tuya or other tricks……
I’m stuck on the configuration. I’ve set up the account on the Tuya IOT platform and have an Access ID and Access Secret. However, when I attempt to use the Cloud Authorization IP Allowlist, it tells my that my IP address has exceeded the service range of the current data center. I’m in the US and I’ve tried both Eastern America Data Center and Western America Data Center. (Both give the same message.)
Since I can’t enable my IP address, the integration won’t configure.
Any ideas?
