Hi,
I’m starting out with tuya devices and I want to know which integration I need.
There are 3 of them currently, Tuya, Tuya V2 and Tuya local form HACS.
Which one of these do I need? Just a little confused as tuya v2 is supposed to have local control too. And then there is tuya local integration. Ideally i want local control.
Thanks for the help!
My understanding is that the tuya v2 integration is mainly supposed to be using tuya IoT in the background.
But on Github it is mentioned that tuya v2 is no longer maintained by the dev team
https://github.com/tuya/tuya-home-assistant
We are announcing that the Tuya v2 integration hosted on this repository is no longer maintained by the Tuya Developer Team.
Local tuya is designed to control devices locally. With recent released version 4.0 there is some progress concerning the retrieval of the local keys which makes it more comfortable to use.
But only a limited range of devices are supported:

The following Tuya device types are currently supported:
- Switches
- Lights
- Covers
- Fans
- Climates
- Vacuums
Thanks for the reply. I went with Tuya local.
Do you know how to enable the entities of lights in Tiya Local integration in HA. I get only the light on and off. I can’t control the brightness or the rgb colours.
