Tuya Local integration Air conditioner

Hey guys!
this is my first post here so please be patient with me if I do something wrong.

I have recently added the tuya local integration from rospogrigio, and all works amazing and its very reponsive. The only problem i am having is controlling the temp_set value (value responsible for setting desired temperature). I have added and selected the correct entity (it does show my the currently selected temperature) but i can not change it; any attempt to change it will result in a beep on the ac side but nothing else.

I have added the entity as a number and have placed min/max to the range i saw on iot platform (160 to 880).

any idea on what i am doing wrong?

thank you guys in advanced!

What range/unit is 160 to 880?

I have an air conditioner using local tuya for control. Number entity for setpoint. Range 16 to 35 Celsius. Works perfectly fine.

Hey i ended up editing climate.py and using a climate entity; works well. As for the range, that was the range i found in the debug device section inside IOT platform. but all good now, thanks for the reply!!

Got the same problem to.
I mean not exectly cause I got it working with the temperature but i have no cool/heat etc…
It looks like its only for thermostates who control the heating not for AC devices.
