I had the same Issue and my solution was too use a smart switch + smart bulb. In Homeassistant you can create a helper that changes the smart switch to a smart blub and then you can create a group (also a helper) of the 2 entities and then you can control both devices in one entity. I would also recommend to create a automation so that when you turn on/off the switch with your fingers, the bulb should also automatically turn on/off.
