It would be great in someone could make this adapter compatible with HA.

Don’t forget to vote for your own FR. 
That device is listed as unsupported in the integration page. Judging by the GitHub issue raised last October, this is intentional and unlikely to change.
A quick look at the Amazon listing for it makes it pretty clear it is incompatible with Linux, on which HA is based.
I suggest you return it and buy an adapter that’s on the supported list instead of waiting for this one to start working
