Im looking for some help. Ive just installed electric underfloor heating in our bathroom. The kit came with a dumb controller and I’d like to replace it with something I can integrate with Home Assistant. I did some research and found a Zigbee Boek Thermostat which was said to work with ZHA so I brought of AliExpress. After connecting it to ZHA, turns out that it doesnt actually connect (without a custom Zigbee Quirk). I appears that the device was faulty anyway as when i turned the heated floor on, the temperature reading went down, so i returned it.
Im looking to see what other people have installed and working today! My requirements are simple - I’d like an exposed climate entity in Home Assistant . Im happy with ZHA or ESPHome (Ideally)!
Good point - i have got a low powered small amount of Electric UFH - only 250W in total and the Temperature probe i have worked out to be a Thermistor which i believe i have found the datasheet for.
I used a cheap (but well rated) system off of amazon - this is the specific one, its gone up in price since I got it.
Yes this would also be my typical first pick - however, I always try to install stuff that could easily be replaced or made “dumb” if i was to ever move out.
Im now looking at a Moes Thermostat but not sure if anyone has any experience with this and if it actually works with ZHA / Home Assistant
