Greetings!
HA platform has cool notifications to iphones, the question is why android’s is so crooked? Why is’t possible to configure notifications via HA app? It is really strange to use pushbullet or to configure remote access (where are some of issues) and then use chrome notifications (html5 notifications?)
May be I am getting smth wrong ang it is possible just to open HA app and click notofication button on?
I do not have android phone yet, that is why I can’t chet it deep now.
For iOS someone has created a native app with integrated notifications. For Android there isn’t one that does unfortunately as far as I know.
A native Android app would solve the problem you mentioned, since it can be tied to the Google Cloud Messaging / and wouldn’t require you to expose your HA instance to the internet.
The only native app available for Android currently is HomeAssist but it doesn’t seem to be very active development-wise and doesn’t have this feature. The sourcecode is available on GitHub though, so someone could technically add this functionality.
Now I see… didn’t know that there is not android app, it’s not great.
Waiting sucks. And I am not a programmer. Maybe someone would like to create one for some price? I think there are a lot of users, who needs android app. We could cooperate.
I use html5 and get pretty much the same functionality as Ios (i had ios before).
