I read all kinds of post here, watch videos, read documention, yet I still do know the answers to a few simple questions. Both my questions are for Z-Wave version only.
Does the Ultraloq or Pro work “directly” with Home Assistant/Z-Wave JS (no third party app, third party pairing, third party hub, installing, or creating an account at Ultraloq)?
Does the Ultraloq or Pro allows PIN management through HA/Z-Wave JS?
I have been looking for a “stand-alone” deadbolt that can replace my trusty but failing non-smart Schlage BE365 deadbolt. I am tempted to just shove a ESP32 as its brain.
Tried the Yale YRD210 Z-Wave version. No problem connecting to the system, but there appears to be no way to manage user PINs from Home Assistant. That is a deal-breaker, as it is a key requirement.
I am reading all the integration details, but I cannot find a list where the specific locks that work with the integration is listed. I did read Schlage mentioned in two places, I believe. Does this support other makes?
The Z-Wave JS database doesn’t give you that kind of information.
Sometimes you can find the information in the ZWA DB. https://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/4179?selectedFrequencyId=-1 → View Command Classes. In that case, it supports the User Code CC. Knowing what CCs (and versions) map to features is a challenge. In this specific case again, the linked technical manual has details:
User Code(V1)
Lock will accept maximum 59 pin codes that has 4-10 digits in length.
Support Users :59
Not all manuals have this information unfortunately.
