ULTRALOQ U-Bolt Pro WiFi integration

Do we think that the Ultraloq Fingerprint or NFC one will be any better?

Frustrated with Ubolt z-wave not passing the user code or name and now I see it giving false information to HA on occasion. Last night it told HA it had been unlocked, but it hadn’t. And since I can’t see WHO unlocked it, my actions all triggered. This creates a security concern that has me strongly considering tearing it off my door.

Instead you can integrate ubolt wifi lock with Smartthings and then integrate Smartthings with home assistant - I must warn you - integrating Smartthings is not easy or fun but it can be done without paying for the cloud service. goodluck

It appears U-tec now advertises an open API (which you ironically have to apply for access to): API Program – U-tec

Perhaps someone familiar with building HA integrations would like to take a stab at it?

+1 for the wifi integration

Add me to the U-Bolt Pro Wifi owner’s waiting for HA integration list. Anyone know someone who works at Ultraloq? Don’t know if they actually see this.

Hello, I just added my Ubolt pro to SmartThings. No bridge needed.

  1. Download Smartthings App
  2. Add utec as device
Only hiccup was that I needed to logout of the utec app on my phone
  3. link services
  4. Follow smart thigs integration on HASS
  5. Lock appears as device

Lag is non-existent … 2-3 seconds between trigger on webpage and opening lock

Is this using the WiFi version?

EDIT:

I’ve answered my own question. I have the WiFi version working now.

Not local, but so much faster through SmartThings than through U-Tec servers.

I did the same with SmartThings! Its flawless!

Just mark this as an answer!

Many have tried to build something over the past year. LAst year I spoke with the UHome folks at CES and it was obvious they are more interested in the Smarthings and Google Partnerships.

Hi Everyone

Just an FYI
I have the ULTRALOQ U-BOLT Pro WIFI and this is how i integrated with Home assistant.

Step 1 -Get Smart things app
Step 2 - Integrate Utraloq into Smart things
Step 3 - Integrate SmartThings into HA
Step 4 - BOOM. My lock is present.
I can unlock and lock and monitor Battery life.

Hope this helps

I have noticed it does not update the status if i manually lock or unlock…!!!
I hate technology

You’re literally using ST as a bridge. I feel gross just mentioning ST.

API has apparently been released, but I do not have the smarts to writeup a process to link to HA.

Anyone seen this as well?

Thanks for the tip - trying to load now !

great find on the new integration. The API isn’t readily accessible right? Request for access requires waiting for approval?

Thats right, you need to apply to Ultraloq, sign some NDA paperwork. Takes about 48 hours.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get it to work for my U-Bolt Pro. The lock doesn’t show up.

If anyone else had any luck, it would be great to get their step by step tips.

Mine didn’t show up either. But I had installed the lock via “Ultraloq Air” rather than the standard installation. Once I deleted and re-added in the app, using the standard method, it started showing up in the integration.

My problem is that devices connected via the bluetooth bridge are not supported at this stage.

its not flawless. There is some lag and every once in a while, the lock will go unavailable, but the rest of the devices in ST stay available. In this case, I think the lock is losing Wifi.
