Unable to access HA after installation

Hi folks,

Apologies in advance, I am new to HA and I have gone through many threads on installation issues but wasn’t able to find a solution.

I have bought a Rpi4B and gone through the standard installation using a SD. I wasn’t able to use the URL flash method but managed to do so using a downloaded image.

I have plugged the RPI to my router using an ethernet cable and even after waiting for quite a few minutes,I still couldn’t access HA on my browser. I could see the device in my network and even used IP:8123 without success.

I was able to flash Raspberry OS on the SD and boot up properly but not so for HA. I have noticed “fireware not found” message during the boot up process - refer to the photos. I wonder whether this might be the issue.

Just to add, I have used 2 different new SD cards and both worked for raspberry OS installation and boot up but not for HA. I also have tried to boot using USB SSD but didn’t work too.

Any expert advice would be much appreciated!

Looks like the image has not been flashed to the SD card (or it is the wrong image).

Which image did you use?

I have tried to use the URL as instructed in the installation page but it didn’t work. I received from Balena Etcher a msg which reads “something went wrong. if it is a compressed image, please check that the archive is not corrupted” whenever i try to flash from URL.

So I have directly downloaded the image from the same link - which did at least complete the flash. But not able to boot using the image on SD.

Try using Raspberry pi imager it has a working link to HAOS

Thanks! This works like a charm. Looks like Balena Etcher is giving some problems. Appreciate this!
