Unable to add IMAP integration for Office 365

I’ve enabled IMAP for my user account and created an app password but authentication is failing…

Literally had the exact same problem this morning. Are you using your own domain name?

I am [email protected] and could not log in with that. However, I also have a [email protected] alias — that, in combination with an app password, worked perfectly.

Yes it’s my own domain name but my Office 365 is business, not personal so I can’t add <something>@outlook.com, only <something>@my_domain.com or <something>@…onmicrosoft.com.

Try the onmicrosoft one, then. I got the hint via the connection errors drop-down on this page:

Nope, still fails.

Not a very good solution but worked for me.

I too was having to ‘Reconfigure’ my outlook IMAP integration.

View password

When reconfiguring. Hitting the little eye symbol to show the password and then submitting did the trick for me

Remove and Add Integration

In less than a day, I’d still have to reconfigure, so I ended up removing and adding the integration back in and it seems more stable now.

Still, I see the ‘Reconfigure IMAP’ card in my integrations page, even though the new IMAP is connected just fine. Sigh…

I ended up not using IMAP and configured the O365 integration.
