Unable to add second Tapo plug to Tapo Smart home

I was able to add one Tapo plug to my Tapo Smart home however, whenever I try to add another type of plug, I get an error message “Unable to authenticate: Error logging in:…………….: LOGIN_ERROR(-1501) (error_code=LOGIN_ERROR) does anyone encounter the same issue?

Did you add the new plug to the tapo app (android for example) prior trying to add it to the integration?

how I’ve gotten the system working since writing. 1.1.2 FW and/or TP-Link’s cloud service is absolutely the fail here. From an integration standpoint, I would say a note on ‘current bugs’ is appropriate, as the fix appears to be when you have an issue (after installing through the Tapo app) to toggle third party support off and on (or on-off-on if it was never on) to unstick the access.

Same thing for me today. added into the Tapo app on iOS then discovered in Home assistant but fails authentication. Credentials match those in my Tapo appl.

So this morning, I factory rest the Tapo P110M, then discovered on my iPad. I renamed it, and also save Wifi Password during network selection.
HA add device - TPLink-Tapo discovered the the device and added it without any authentication request.

Moving forward, but not sure if this is repeatable.

BTW I could always add it as a Matter device, however less device information available when added via that path.
