New to the community and home assistant in general.
I just got HA running on a Pi4 with a ZBDongle-E as the thread border router interface. I’ve bought a bunch of new IKEA devices and was able to commission them relatively easily using my android phone and the QR codes.
Now I also bought an ECO-DIM.07 matter dimmer, luckily just the one to try it out. For some reason it does not want to connect to the network. Every time I try the app says the device can’t connect to the thread network even though I am just 2 meters from the Raspberry Pi.
Anybody used these dimmers before and had any luck commissioning them or had similar issues? I am close to just returning it and trying another brand.
It could be but I don’t think it is the same as the other issues. Specifically because I was able to commission a lot of other devices without issue using the phone.
This is the last step I get, which also pops up almost immediately when it tries to connect to the thread network.
Well I got my other dimmer (ION Insdustries LED Matter dimmer) and was able to couple it.
I tried once more with the Ecodim and it turns out I needed to reset it first; hold reset for 3 seconds until the light turns red. So now that is also coupled.
Not sure which one I will go with, first will test both them them with the different amount of spots I have.
