Unable to configure Lighting4/PT2262 doorbel in RFXTRX

Hi

I am struggling with this for quite some time now and have read whole internet back and forth :slight_smile:

I have this doorbell Amazon.de that uses Lighting4 / PT2262 protocol.

It is correctly picked up by RFXTRX device and when connected to PC I can read messages correctly.

10/01/2021 02:34:10:190= 09130003BED510012970
Packettype = Lighting4
subtype = PT2262
Sequence nbr = 3
Code = BED510 decimal:12506384
S1- S24 = 1011 1110 1101 0101 0001 0000
Pulse = 297 usec
Signal level = 7 -64dBm

10/01/2021 02:35:49:614= 09130001BED510012B70
Packettype = Lighting4
subtype = PT2262
Sequence nbr = 1
Code = BED510 decimal:12506384
S1- S24 = 1011 1110 1101 0101 0001 0000
Pulse = 299 usec
Signal level = 7 -64dBm

10/01/2021 02:59:08:628= 09130014BED510012B70
Packettype = Lighting4
subtype = PT2262
Sequence nbr = 20
Code = BED510 decimal:12506384
S1- S24 = 1011 1110 1101 0101 0001 0000
Pulse = 299 usec
Signal level = 7 -64dBm

I think the device id is “BED510” and I assume the solution should be hidden somewhere here RFXCOM RFXtrx - Home Assistant, however I can not manage to figure out whether I should configure integration through GUI using “ADD A DEVICE BY EVENT CODE” (which code?) or manually editing configuration.yaml.

I have bunch of other 433 devices (mainly Oregon Scientific) that work perfectly, however I am struggling with configuration changes introduced a while ago and it looks to me just that documentation might be a little off.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
Many people have the same problem with PT2262 Lighting4, we are all waiting for an update to solve this problem but it takes a long time.
Luckily I have a broadlink that could do the job.
It’s a shame that a quick fix is not available.
