Unable to connect to Green

Hey there,
I’ve unboxed my home assistant green and I’d like to start getting to work, but I can’t seem to connect to it. I was able to see it briefly from my iPhone app, but it only gave me an error log that I foolishly dismissed. Since then, I’ve gotten nothing. I did a hard reset, and verified that I can see the device on my router, I have an IP address, and I can even see it when I try going to http://homeassistant.local:4357/ where it says everything looks good. But when I try http://homeassistant.local:8123 I get “Refused to connect”. I also get the refuse to connect message when I use the IP address I see in my router followed by :8123. I’m afraid I’m out of my depth.

I attempted to look at my firewall settings, but I’m not really sure what I’m looking for. I’m not sure why it’s known and addressed by my router but I can’t seem to get in to it from a browser or app. I’ve tried clearing cookies and cache, I’ve tried Chrome and Firefox on a Windows device and an iPhone and on the app.

I appreciate any help!

Also, I just used command prompt to ping my device and it says:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss)

Hello,

have you tried these suggestions: FAQ – Home Assistant Green

Have you tried to power down the HAgreen and ping the same ip?
Does it responds? if yes that is not the HAgreen IP.

Try again booting up and look for the right IP.

By the way does your nameserver resolution works?
can you ping the ip address and ping the name, like:

ping <IPadresshere>

then

ping <yourservername>
