Unable to connect to Home Assistant” Error After Login

Hello everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my public Home Assistant (HA) website. After logging in, I keep encountering the following error:

Unable to connect to Home Assistant.
Retrying in 44 seconds...

I have set up HA to be publicly accessible via an external Nginx running on OPNsense. Below are the relevant sections of my Nginx configuration:

Does anyone have any idea why this error is occurring? Could it be related to the Nginx configuration, or are there any known issues in this context?

This config is totally different from my nginx config, but I don’t see websockets being forwarded.

That was exactly the issue! After adding the WebSocket settings, everything is working perfectly. Thanks a lot for the help!
