Unable to connect to my Hass.io from the internet via duckdns

Removed, restarted, doesn’t make a change

If you are still accessing via http on port 8123 and not https then try the nginx proxy add-on set up like the link I sent you. The log under hass.io > system may also give a clue.

That solved it, thank you very much for your help!

You used nginx?

Yeah, i did. Also changed the port to a more unconventional one and now i’ll try to figure out how to get the sidebar working. When hassio cloud will have secure remote access feature released, i’ll sign up for it

It seems that this doesn’t let me access HA from my local network with domain name. Is there any workaround?

Do you have nat loopback or similar settings on your router? Needs to be on. Or just don’t bother if you trust your local network then you don’t need a secure connection.

But i would like to use just one URL for convenience (don’t want to open 2 different links depending on if i am home or not) but i don’t see loopback option in my router’s settings. its ZTE ZXV10 H201L.

If nat loopback isnt supported, you could run your own DNS internally and override the external domain to an internal IP address.

If you are running a RPI already, pihole is a pretty easy to setup solution.

i am running pi hole too! didn’t think about that solution! thanks man!
