Unable to get information. Please contact Home Assistant to verify if your account has been set up correctly

Hi,

I’m trying to connect my Google Nest to my Home Assistant but I get this error message when I choose my Google account:

I followed all the steps in the documentation but it doesn’t work at the last step.
I use the same Google account for everything and it is also this account that owns my house on Google Home

From your link to the documentation:

No access to partner information “Information could not be retrieved” error message during the setup wizard means that the Google Account used is not able to access the Home. Please ensure that you have successfully migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account using the Google Nest App. Additionally, if your home has multiple members, please note that the individual who initially set up the home must complete the migration of their Nest Account to a Google Account before you can establish a connection with Home Assistant.

I saw but my account was migrated like all the members of my family on Google Home

Well, you have to look into that again, because the Google account does not have access to your data.

ok I’ll check it out, thanks

I think the account the message is referring to is the Nest account. When Nest was taken over by Google a few years ago you had the option of migrating to Google if you wanted to, but it sounds as if you kept your legacy account.

But I didn’t have a nest account before 2019 and besides I never created one, I directly used Google home

When I remove access to Nest in my Google account settings it removes my Nest hub from Google Home, so I get a message that says I have no devices when I try to link to home assistant, so I put it back as it is on my local network and I get the error from the beginning again

And you have checked that your device is supported and also payed for the API access?

Yes my device is supported and I paid the $5

And you are running the latest HA version?

And followed the Google instructions too?

Yes I am using the latest version in docker
