Unable to install HA on Raspberry Pi

I’m trying to install HA OS on an Pi 3, but am finding that the recommended Balena Etcher doesn’t work on either my Linux or W10 machines (it asks for authentication!)

I’ve tried DD’ing an image to the card, but it won’t boot.

Any help will be appreciated, please!

Jim

You don’t need to use Balena Etcher. You can use Win32DiskImager or Rufus for example

I think you can just ignore the Authentication bit. Just paste in the URL.

I use raspberry pi. Imager it has a link to haos. If you set the pi To boot into the imager there really isn’t much to worry about.

It doesn’t work - the URL box is greyed out unless authentication is filled in.

Rasberry Pi Imager worked a treat (I didn’t realise that you could dig down in the menus to select HA OS)
I don’t know why BalenaEtcher is even recommended when the Pi Imager is all you need.

Thanks to all for the repiles Jim

Only been able to do it with Pi imager for a month or 2. But its easy as pi that way.
