Unable to integrate Leaf

Hi

Trying to integrate my Leaf to ultimately always auto halt charging of the battery at 95%. Have installed my Zappi charger no issue. I think its something to do with my lack of YAML knowledge. Per the install instructions this is what I added to config.yaml

nissan_leaf:
  username: "XXXX"
  password: "xxx"
  region: NE
  update_interval:
    hours: 1
  update_interval_charging:
    minutes: 15
  update_interval_climate:
    minutes: 5
  force_miles: true

Per another post I read I rebooted and then went to the states tab to see responses before adding sensors but didn’t so stopped at the point. One thing I am suspicious of is encompassing only the username and password in quotes but not the region as other posts show them not so encompassed.

Can you advise please

Which LEAF (age / shape), which region, which installation instructions?

To be clear, you can’t stop the LEAF charging remotely — I assume you’re planning to do that via the Zappi?

I think people worry too much about limiting charge to EV batteries using the on-board charger. Sure, with DC fast charging, a limit is a good idea, 80% say, but using the on-board charger the manufacturer’s would have factored cell longevity into the cars charging system anyway, at least they should have done.

That said, if it is necessary, I am sure Nissan would have provided a limit capability within the cars software that you use to control the on-board charging system. Have a look because there is no state of charge sensor in the Zappi I have found you can use to terminate a charge using HASS, only a charge added session sensor and that’s only potentially useful if you know the state of charge before the session begins.
