Unable to pair Aqara P2 motion sensor with HA Yellow

I just converted the internal radio in my Home Assistant from Zigbee to Thread. It appears to be configured correctly. I have the Thread integration and Open Thread Border Router installed:

But when I place the P2 into pairing mode, then scan the QR code, the P2 flashes faster to indicate a connection, but then I get the following error:

After converting the HA Yellow’s radio from Zigbee to Thread I restarted HA, that didn’t work, so I powered off/on the Yellow. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

After a bit of research I found that I had to sync the Thread credentials to my phone. After completing this the device was added:

** Android (Home Assistant Companion App):**

  1. Open Home Assistant app
  2. Go to Settings → Companion App → Troubleshooting
  3. Tap Sync Thread Credentials
