I’m new to home assistant. I was under the understanding that home assistant was already installed on home assistant blue. I plugged it in and can see it in the pfSense ARP table but I’m unable to access the GUI. I’ve tried Chrome and Edge. I’m on the same VLAN and can ping the IP address. I’m trying 192.168.70.4:8123 . I assume I’m doing something wrong here.
Any ideas?
Apparently, I can also ping homeassistant.local. Guess I’ll try to reinstall.
I figured before I nuke it, I should probably plug in a monitor and keyboard to see if there was anything and I was greeted with the login screen.
After logging in with “root” and no password, I got to this screen:
So it appears Home Assistant is running. I was able to log into homeassistant.local:4357 for the observer screen, but still no homeassistant.local:8123 or 192.168.70.4:8123.
Surprised no one has any ideas. On to the nuclear option…re-install.
