Unifi Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

Unifi requires MFA starting from mid-July. The Unifi integration is not yet ready for this, so I had to disable MFA in the Unifi environment again.

You should just make a local admin in your controller.
That way its just local and you wont need an online account for unifi integration.

Best to keep MFA imo

The integrations expect local accounts which are not required to have 2FA enabled.

See this thread 2FA added to the Unifi Ubiquiti component - #10 by AngellusMortis

Thanks for the quick solution of my problem

Making a ‘local admin’ account doesnt help for those of us that run the unifi controller in the cloud, and manage a heap of sites.

You could probably setup a VPN between controller and home assistant to make them seem local and then use local accounts

has anyone managed to find a workaround for this? Local account didn’t work for me as it’s cloud too… thanks!
