UniFi Person Detection Broken?

With the latest UniFi OS, my person detection is broken in HA. The person_detected binary sensors are only turning on for < 1 second, whereas previous they’d turn on for the duration of the person being detected. This breaks many automations for me.

I’m 99% sure this is an issue on the UniFi side… thread here:

But I’m curious if others have hit this too?

I am seeing this same issue. My person detection was working fine until after 10/15. I have not checked to see what upgraded on that date. I am not sure if it is HA or Unifi update that caused this. The person detected activates but is turned off in only a second or two and now other HA automations don’t have time to react.

Were you able to resolve this issue? Im seeing the same behavior on Protect 5.2.4.9

Hi @angrylist and @tracerrx , yes this issue is resolved for me. At least for me it is fixed with the latest protect. 5.2.49 (was that a typo @tracerrx ? yours has an extra period).
