Unifi Protect on UDM Pro with fw 2.4.x?

Hi,

As Ubiquiti is finally migrating the first gen UDM Pro to the new 2.4.x branch (and later 3.x as well) I am wondering how this will affect the Unify Protect integration?

The reason for asking is that Ubiquiti says that third party integrations might cause issues during and after upgrade to 2.4.x and explicitly mentions Home Assistant. Their recommendation is to disable the integration but is is not clear if it can be reenabled after a successful upgrade?

I know that Early Access versions are not supported but the 2.4.x fw is now in RC and I will probably update when it reaches GA and the Protect version should then be the same as is running on consoles on the 3.x branch and they are supported by the Protect integration.

I installed the EA version 2.4.27 a few weeks back and did not see the note about HA then so installed it with HA running. All seems to work fine.
If I was doing it now, I’d stop the HA integration, upgrade the UDM PRO and then restart the integration.
Maybe look on unifi’s forum to see if anyone has had issues:

Thanks for your input! Yes, that is what I see as most probable too. I’m just cautious for once, been bitten before by rushing into updates I did not research enough.
