I’m in the middle of trying to get remote access to HA from android. Looking into Tailscale as one option but since my whole network is unifi based how would I configure Teleport?
Does anyone have user experience going this route?
If you have teleport working (which is super easy to set up) then there’s no configuration on the HA side. HA will work just like it does when you are home on your home network. That is the whole point of teleport.
The only downside is that you have to enable teleport before you use the HA app. Or else leave it enabled whenever you are outside your house.

I finally got Teleport connected with my unifi and wifiman apps on android but seems to run into a wall with the HA android app…or do I need a helper app?
Entering the address from my local lan doesn’t connect?
I have not personally used teleport for remote access to HA (I have a domain and cert), but I have used teleport for things like accessing my NAS web interface and RDP into my desktop. Both worked without any additional fiddling around, then again it’s been years since I’ve fooled around with the firewall and its possible I put something in to allow traffic from teleport. I noticed that teleport comes in on what must be a hardcoded subnet in the 192.168 range. It’s possible you’ll need to allow access from that subnet to your HA on whatever port you’ve assigned to HA.
Honestly, with all of the changes that Ubiquiti has made to the interface over the last year or so, I’m a bit like a fish out of water mucking around in there, but if you needed some guidance there must be endless youtube content available to help.
Here’s where things get kinda unclear for me, but after restarting and updating HA and doing nothing to my android HA app it all connects…go figure 
Personally I would like to know how & why things work but for now it works so I’m happy. Thanks for your input
