Hi, im new in this Forum. Im not using HomeAssistant yet, but it is my goal to set up a local home automation with HomeAssistant. Right now im doing first steps with Google Home, testing if i need/want voice control.
Im searching for an possibility to automate shutters. These shutters are already in place and electric with dumb remote controls. Mostly produced from “Selve” but one from “Velux”. There are very expensive proprietary devices to control the shutters via App but the appartement ist only for rent, so i dont want to spend this much money (~500€) for the autmation of the shutters.
Im wondering if there is any device which works like an universal remote control with frequencyes like the original remote controls (and not infrared like normal remote controls) of the systems. For sure the universal remote control should be smart to be integrated in the homeautomation. The Velux (IO Homecontrol) protocol should be encrypted so I dont think it is possible with this System. For Selve I didnt found information yet.
Im happy with any kind of hints for ways or devices to solve my challange.
kind regards
Leon
edit: both systems work around 868 MHz - I found a device (Broadlink RM) but with the wrong frequency (433 MHz) …
