I got this error when setting up the iPhone Home Assistant Companion app.
Unknown Error: URLSessionTask failed with error: The internet connection appears to be offline.
The fix is to go to iPhone Settings > Home Assistant (find the app towards the bottom) > turn on the toggle that says ‘Allow access to local network’

same error here, but your solution did not work. i recently reinstalled aletsencrypt cert.
even uninstalling the companion app and reinstalling does not help…
