Hi, I don’t have any entities exposed to Alexa or Google, but I do have integrations, e.g. Smarthings, Google Nest, Ring and Home Connect etc. Will it create any problems with these integrations if I Unsubscribe to Nabu Casa?
no
Your mobile app will not work when you leave your house though.
You’ll have to do some extra work to get this to work.
ah, thanks, Petro…this part is a bit tricky. I can see almost everything on the dashboard when I’m away from home, except for the live CCTV camera feed. For that, I use a home VPN. I’m not aware of any other way to view the live CCTV footage over Nabu Casa.
How are the camera feeds integrated into Home Assistant?
This should definitely be possible.
I have Hikvision poe cameras and am using “Hikvision NVR / IP Camera” from HACS. It detects all my cameras and exposes both mainstream and sub-stream entities (e.g. camera.driveway_substream). I can directly call those entities into the lovelace dashboard. I have RTSPtoWeb - WebRTC, but I don’t think I use it for Hikvision. I installed it to test Arlo and Ring setup.
I am sorry but I’m a bit lost here. Can you be more specific about which section I need to look at?
Webhook
This integration requires an internet accessible incoming webhook to receive push updates from SmartThings. The preferred approach is to subscribe to Home Assistant Cloud (Nabu Casa) and the integration will configure and use a cloudhook automatically. Alternatively, you will have to configure and setup an internet accessible webhook in Home Assistant as described below:
You are going to like the latest version of Home Assistant then: 2024.11: Slick dashboards and speedy cameras - Home Assistant
Looks promising, I will give it a go . Thanks.
