You may have better luck looking at local tuya integration.

I’ve been able to get a number of unsupported devices working via local tuya

This is awesome! Thank you for the suggestion, I have installed local tuya, and was able to figure out the important for me device settings:

1 -> on/off
2 -> speed (integer values [0 - 100])
4 -> manual on/off
101 -> Timer on Hours Settings
102 -> Timer off Hours Settings
103 -> Time on Minutes Settings
104 -> Timer off Minutes Settings
108 -> Cycle on/off
109 -> Timer on/off

So, I configured my pump controller as a fan entity, and I can now control pond waterfall flow right through Home Assistant.
