Hello everyone,
I’ve been using the ROBB SMARRT 3680W smart plugs (link: Slimme stekker Zigbee 3680Watt ROBB Smarrt Kopen? | We ❤️ Smart! | ROBBshop) with my Home Assistant setup, connected via Zigbee2MQTT, for about six months. Although the “Energy” parameter is available, it rarely updates and often remains stuck at the same value for extended periods.
Recently, I tried resetting the devices by quickly pressing the button five times. However, after the reset, the energy values didn’t reset to zero as I expected. Instead, they jumped to much higher numbers. For example, the energy reading for my washing machine plug went from 2.19 kWh to 80.74 kWh, and the dryer plug increased from 2.23 kWh to 63 kWh. It seems like the energy meter accumulated values rather than resetting.
I have a couple of questions:
- Is there a way to fully reset the cumulative energy consumption back to zero? If so, how can I do this?
- Should the “Energy” (cumulative energy consumption) parameter update correctly and regularly? Are there specific settings or steps I need to ensure accurate and frequent updates?
If anyone has experience with these smart plugs or has encountered similar issues, I’d really appreciate your advice. I’m hoping to fully utilize the energy monitoring capabilities of these devices.
Thanks in advance for your help!
