Update 2023.3.6 to 2023.4

Hi,

I want to update home assistant from 2023.3.6 to 2023.4 (any version). When i update, home assistant is not stable and i lost connection (maybe it restarts). I have some logs (one about database. I tried to rollback and update again but it didn’t work) :

2023-04-12 10:28:32.892 WARNING (SyncWorker_4) [homeassistant.loader] We found a custom integration alarmo which has not been tested by Home Assistant. This component might cause stability problems, be sure to disable it if you experience issues with Home Assistant

2023-04-12 10:28:32.926 WARNING (SyncWorker_4) [homeassistant.loader] We found a custom integration hacs which has not been tested by Home Assistant. This component might cause stability problems, be sure to disable it if you experience issues with Home Assistant

2023-04-12 10:28:38.704 WARNING (Recorder) [homeassistant.components.recorder.util] The system could not validate that the sqlite3 database at //config/home-assistant_v2.db was shutdown cleanly

2023-04-12 10:28:50.792 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.setup] Setup of bluetooth is taking over 10 seconds.

Seems acceptable for now, the upgrade comes with a db update which depending on size may take 20+ min…patience
And…do go for the newest ones to avoid known issues, 2023.4.2 is out

I have these problem for days now… Time doesn’t resolve the issue

Well… that is indeed more than 20-ish minutes, the errors above are however nothing special, have them too,
Anything else in the logs?
What is not working exactly, you mention instable and lost connection…so either instable and you sometimes loose connection of you have no connection at all?
On what type are you, HAOS/docker?

I have restart loop for service (home assistant, zha…). And the message connection lost every minute. In full logs, I have nothing else.

I use HAOS

I had the same on my syno (luckily a dev instance). I logged with ssh, and then typed login, this them solved my (!) issue … I learned this from another post. Can yo login to ssh and what do you then see?
Note: I am no HAOS specialist, using it only to verify some minimal dev work I do on the side

I tried and it didn’t work

I remove the db and I always have the problem

As mentioned, the logs show me nothing worrying, also the db one.
What do you see when you login to the system with webbrowser
Where is the log on the connection?
any proxy that may be the culprit?

You are providing very little data to help with…be more specific else no way that me/other can help

I’m new to home assistant so I give what I found. Sorry.

WHen I login, I see message zha sarting, google assistant starting (and many others) then I see connexion lost (it’s a loop).

In homeassistant.log.1 and homeassistant.log I haven’t any others messages.

I can connect with ssh.

I have HAOS

Do you have any custom components installed?

Try disabling or updating them and see if that solves your issue

I remove google drive backup (doesn’t start) and garbage collector. I have zha and HACS. I’ll try

i have the same problem here…from version 2023.3.5 to 3.6. 3.6 never finished.
Updated to 2023.4.0 seems working but after update 2023.4.2 there is no connection to make with my rpi 4 with HA.

Likely the same here, after updating from 2023.3.6 to 2023.4.2 my system keeps rebooting over and over… sometimes it stays online for half an hour, sometimes it reboots after 5 min. I was hoping a later update would fix this, but we’re now arrived at 4.4 and it still happens.

I have the same problem with 2023.4.4. Is there support contact to resolve ?

What components have you ?

When I try to update to 2023.4.5, it works I can see version in parameters. After des seconds, it restarts ans version rollback to 2023.3.6
